God is Faithful, Christine Kwan

I am a University of California at Los Angeles graduate who majored in linguistics and computer science and minored in education. I believed into the Lord when I was a little kid and therefore I have been a Christian for much of my life. What has helped me immensely in my relationship with the Lord has been Witness Lee's and Watchman Nee's ministry. Since I have grown up in southern California, I had the opportunity to hear Witness Lee speak from time to time. I never received dead letters and regulations when I heard him speak or when I read his ministry books. Rather, his ministry has always faithfully directed me to the Lord Himself. At the end of a message or a book, I am left looking away unto Jesus.

The Lord said to the church in Ephesus in Revelation 2:4: “But I have one thing against you, that you have left your first love.” Witness Lee's speaking always returned me to my first love toward the Lord. I was left loving the Lord more. I would see something that He has done or something He is based on His Word in the Bible and this would increase my love for such a Person.

For example, Romans 14:8 says, ”For whether we live, we live to the Lord, and whether we die, we die to the Lord, Therefore whether we live or we die, we are the Lord's.” I belong to Him because He has bought me and owns me. Whatever I do, I do to the Lord. I live to Him. He is my center and He is my goal. I am learning to do everything “to Him.” A message Witness Lee spoke touched me in this way, bringing me back from everything else to the Lord Himself. I am not my own, I love the Lord for what He has done for me, and I love belonging to Him.

God is faithful to remind me of Himself and what He is doing, and I thank Him for faithful ministers such as Witness Lee and Watchman Nee who cooperate with Him. They cause me to love the Lord more.
